Oakland Athletics were founded in 1901. Known to their fans as the 'As'
they have won the World Series nine times.
Stadium. Since 1968, 48,000 fans
regularly cram into the Network Associates
Coliseum. Few changes have occurred since it opened it's doors. There NFL
neighbours, the Raiders moved out in 1981, but made a comeback in '95. During the past
few years the Athletics have attracted over two million fans each season.
