About.
The White Sox have
roots going back to 1893. They started off as the Sioux City, Iowa franchise.
They moved Minnesota, then again to Chicago where they have settled since
1900. They won the World
Series in 1901, 1919 and in 2005. Sox is short
for 'Stockings'.
Stadium.
The
White Sox play ball out of U.S.
Cellular Field which opened for business in 1991.
.US Cellular Field has a capacity of around 41,000. The stadium fell out
of favour with the fans but they have a series of developments in the
wings and the White Sox look set to bring fans back. |
