About. Founded in 1924, the Bruins
became just the second American team to win the Stanley Cup in 1928-29
season on their way to establishing a legacy as one of the premier Hockey
Teams in the History of the NHL. The Bruins have had some of the NHL's
best players including, 'he shoots, he scores' Bobby Orr. In their long
history the Bruins have hoisted the Stanley Cup 5 times. They are now
looking to bring the Cup back for the first time in over 30 years.
The Bruins play in the sports hotbed of
Boston. The proximity of New York, Pittsburgh, New Jersey, Montreal, and
Philadelphia, along with their long history, provides the Bruins with
plenty of rivalries. Boston is known for its dedicated and knowledgeable
fans. Since its grand opening in 1995, more than 18 million people have
come to the FleetCenter to see the arena's famous tenants, the Boston
Bruins and NBA's Boston Celtics. |
