About. The Canadiens are without a doubt
the greatest team in NHL History. A look at
Montreal's all-time roster reads like a who's who of the Hall of Fame. As
a franchise they have won a record 23 Stanley Cups, but unfortunately none
since 1993. The Canadiens have struggled a bit in recent years since
moving to the brand new Bell Centre.
The Canadiens are often referred to as
the 'Habs' - an
abbreviation of 'les habitants' the informal name given to the original
French settlers of Quebec in the 1700s. The stylised CH club logo stands for 'Club de Hockey'. |
